If particular problems occur, special massages are carried out when ordered by the physicians. These massages are carried out with specific oils, pastes, cremes or herbs. The masseurs have been specially trained for this. Special massages are usually planned daily by the physicians and adjusted to the particular situation. Hence it is possible that one rates a special massage as "extremely good" and a different one as "less effective". So it only depends on the medical prescription and not on the quality of the individual masseur.
Face massage
Foremost purpose of the Ayurvedic face massage is the build-up and tightening of tissue. Since it is perceived to be especially pleasant, it also encourages personal charisma.
Nasal cleansing/cleaning
Some drops of oil will be dropped into each nostril by the physician with the help of a pipette. Especially the frontal sinuses and side sinuses will be cleansed of accumulated mucus. The eye, ear and throat areas will also be treated. After this treatment you should rest for at least half an hour, if possible in a sitting position, so that the mucus can discharge easily. This treatment is extremely effective as it loosens the mucus, which has accumulated over years or decades. This is why it is also not possible to decide how often the treatment needs to be carried out for each individual person at the beginning of your stay.
Ayurveda foot-massage
This foot massage should not be compared to the well known reflexology. The Ayurvedic massage is a mix of Ayurveda- and China-massages and pays special attention to the marma points. The training of our masseurs was carried out by an Ayurvedic physician trained in China and Sri Lanka. It is repeated once a year.
Hat or "crown" Sirovirechana
During this treatment you will have a towel put around your head which is open like a "crown" at the top. Within this opening a mash of different herbs or seeds will be poured, which must be left on to work for two hours. Hence the treatment will be carried out as early as possible. After the two hours please let the hat be removed and discarded at the Ayurveda department. The treatment cools the entire head area, activates the brain nerves and therefore clears the whole head.
Packs Pichu
The Pichu is a special treatment, during which pastes, ointments, oils or herbal juices will be applied on sick or painful body parts. The pack has to be left in place for some time (normally between - to two hours). This treatment is often used for joint and/or skin problems. Because of these extremely different elements an accurate price calculation is not possible. Hence it will be settled separately, costing between 1.50 and 3.00 Euro per treatment.
